Who I Work With
The majority of my work so far has been with adults who experience complex trauma.
Have you have ever felt like you've needed to adapt and cope and bend yourself to fit into the shape the world has assumed of you? Have you done this at the expense of your own needs, your sense of self, your own voice and ability to be authentic with yourself and others? If this experience sounds familiar, we may be a good fit.
I am most interested in working with individuals who experience PTSD, complex PTSD, attachment trauma, medical and disability trauma, and familial trauma. I am most interested in how shame impacts how we function in relationship, and how we use dissociation as a way to protect ourselves.
Through my clinical work, I have helped people experiencing complicated grief, complex trauma, adapting to and accepting disability, addiction, and I have worked with individuals who experience severe and persistent mental illness, including schizophrenia and psychosis.
My approach is collaborative, and my hope is to demystify this process as much as possible. Therapy should be approachable and accessible, and we all deserve to have a voice and play a part in how our treatment unfolds. You are the expert on your life and your experience, and I want to join you in learning how you've survived, and finding what works and what doesn't work.
Let's walk the path together, and see where it leads.
